1. Turn the scanner off and on using the scanner's power/On button.
    If the scanner is on a network, turn it on after connecting to the network.
  2. Disconnect all cables from your computer, except the power cord and any USB or Ethernet cable used for printing.
  3. Click [Next] to start the scanner update.

- Do not use the scanner until the firmware update is complete.
- It may take up to 15 minutes to complete the update. You cannot cancel or interrupt the update.
- If the firmware update fails and the scanner goes into recovery mode (indicated by flashing status lights), you will not be able to update the scanner's firmware over a network connection. Connect your computer to the scanner using a USB cable instead and try updating the firmware again. See the documentation or visit Epson.com. to check if the scanner is in the recovery mode.
- If the scanner is running on the battery, connect the power cable.
